Dilemma
1 August 2008Folks, I’ve got a bit of a problem, and I need your help!
I’ve managed to talk my company into changing our phone plans, and on the new phone plan I can basically get any phone I want. Naturally, we all want iPhones.
SO, the question to you is:
Should I get the:

White iPhone… absolutely no question about it, I LOVE mine… it’s fantabuliciously good!
That’s a photoshopped pic though - they’re actually black on the front and white on the back.
B) Black iPhone. Here’s the deal. The white one will get dirty and will show grime much much faster. The HTC isn’t an Apple.
Most certainly the 16GB iPhone 3G.
The choice of colour is up to you, but definitely don’t decide until you see the phones in person. The photo you have of the white one is incorrect: the front is actually exactly the same as the black iPhone 3G - all black.
I picked the black b/c not only does the black front seems to clash with the white back, but the metal buttons and Apple logo on the back are all silver, and they just look slicker on a black background than a white background.
The dilemma is only between the black or white iphone. I had 2 HTCs before and they were both great. But the iphone is AMAZING. I don’t agree with boygrphon - the white one actually doesn’t get that dirty (I have it) because of the finish and it doesn’t show finger prints as bad as a black one. Come to think of it, there is NO dilemma - get the white iphone.
Oh - Tom’s right - the white one doesn’t look like that. It looks the same as the black one. It’s only white on the back.
I tried to suck up to the Telstra girl on Wednesday night to give me an iPhone, needless to say, it didn’t work, but she did wipe $450 from my account. So account balance = $0.00, v. happy.
I’d go the black iPhone, I’ve got a white iPod, and it’s nice, but I wish I went for the black, would look cleaner.
White iPhone will get grubbier more easily but won’t show finger prints so easily.
Black is grubby-proof but finger prints show up pdq. Just like a black car…always needs a polish.
I only wish the white one was like the pic and white at front which it is not.
Also there is now a new problem with the plastic case of the 3G version. Seems the 2 pack laquered finish is prone to cracking. Hairline fractures are being reported mainly by white owners on their 2-3 week old phones. Stress fractures most likely from flexing when being carried in a pocket.
